Apply in the evening, after cleansing.

  • New to retinal or retinol? Use every other night for the first two weeks, applying a small amount to targeted areas.
  • If tingling or dryness occurs, reduce amount and frequency, and layer a soothing moisturizer to keep skin comfortable.
  • Once your skin adjusts, build up to nightly use across the full face.
  • Every morning after use, apply sunscreen as your final step — retinoids can increase sun sensitivity.

A slight yellow tint on the skin after applying is normal — that's the natural color of retinal, and it rinses off completely at your next cleanse.

From consistent evening use, customers reported firmer-looking, smoother, more refined skin:

  • 96% said fine lines and forehead creases looked softened with consistent use
  • 98% said skin felt smoother and more refined
  • 97% said pores looked visibly tighter over time
  • 95%  including retinol-sensitive users — said the formula stayed comfortable

0.1% Liposomized Retinal— the advanced form of vitamin A, one conversion step from active retinoic acid, wrapped in a lipid shell for stability.

3% Matrixyl (Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 & Tetrapeptide-7)— a signal-peptide complex that supports the skin's collagen-making processes.

A-Shot™ Micro-Delivery— refined micro-particles roughly 16× thinner than a pore, uniformly sized to help actives absorb evenly with less irritation.

Niacinamide, Panthenol, Adenosine & Tocopherol— barrier-supporting, soothing companions that keep the formula comfortable.

I’m 46 and the lines across my forehead have been bothering me way more over the last year because I can see them even when my face is relaxed now. I’ve used retinol before but never retinal so I started this every other night just to be safe. About a month in and my forehead definitely looks smoother, especially first thing in the morning. The texture around my cheeks looks better too. I’m sticking with it.
Why did nobody tell me to switch from retinol to retinal sooner?? I originally bought this for my forehead lines but the first thing I noticed was how SMOOTH my skin started feeling. Even my makeup is sitting better around my cheeks where my pores usually look huge. I use it at night and always wake up looking so plump and refreshed. Definitely staying in my routine!! 💛
I have a cabinet full of anti-aging products that I’ve used a few times and forgotten about, so my expectations were pretty low. I’m 52 with dry skin and my main concerns are the lines around my eyes and the loss of firmness around my cheeks. I started slowly with this because stronger retinoids can make me peel. So far I’ve been able to use it consistently without overdoing it, which is already a win for me. After several weeks, my skin looks more refined and the little lines around my eyes don't seem as noticeable. My face just looks smoother overall. It isn't an overnight miracle, but this is one of the few products where I've actually noticed enough of a difference to keep using it.
Bought it for wrinkles and somehow I'm more excited about my pores 😂 The ones around my nose/upper cheeks look way less noticeable and my skin feels sooo smooth. I kept touching my face the first morning lol. I’ve only been using it a few weeks so I’m excited to see what another month does. ✨
I've used retinol on and off for years and wanted to try retinal without jumping straight into anything prescription strength. I like that this also has peptides because firmness and texture are becoming just as important to me as fine lines. I started 3 nights a week and worked my way up. The biggest difference so far has been texture—my forehead and cheeks feel noticeably smoother and my skin looks more even when light hits it from the side. No dramatic peeling for me, although I still make sure I moisturize well afterward. I would repurchase.
At 48 I’m less concerned about looking “younger” and more concerned about my skin looking healthy and taken care of. My forehead had gotten rougher, the pores on my cheeks seemed more obvious, and foundation was starting to emphasize everything instead of hiding it. I've been using this consistently at night and what I like most is the overall change in how my skin looks. It seems smoother, more polished and a little firmer-looking. My forehead lines are still there obviously, but they don't jump out at me quite as much anymore. That's the kind of realistic improvement I was hoping for.

Questions? Answers.

  • You may start noticing smoother, more refined-looking skin within 1–2 weeks. With consistent use, more noticeable improvements in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and uneven texture can take around 4–8 weeks, while more established signs of photoaging may require 8–12+ weeks of continued use.

  • Both are forms of vitamin A.Retinolneeds two conversion steps inside the skin before it becomes the active form (retinoic acid).Retinal(retinaldehyde) is one step closer, so more of what you apply reaches its target — which is why it's often described as faster-acting at lower concentrations, with a comparable tolerance profile.

  • Many retinol-sensitive users find retinal more comfortable, and this formula pairs it with soothing niacinamide, panthenol and a micro-delivery system designed to reduce irritation. Still, everyone's skin is different —patch-test first, start every other night, and build up slowly. If irritation occurs, reduce frequency and layer a gentle moisturizer.

  • No. The booster is made to deliver a smooth, fast-absorbing finish that feels light on skin. It layers easily beneath moisturizer without the thick feel of traditional rich creams.

  • Yes. It is best used in the evening as part of your final treatment step. If you use it on active nights, finish with moisturizer and wear sunscreen the next day to help protect your skin.

  • Yes, but keep the routine gentle. Apply lighter treatments first, then use the The Vita A Retinal Shot Tightening Booster afterward. If you already use strong exfoliants, alternate nights to keep your routine balanced.
